RD Competitor Target Acquisition

Cost Centers are highly optimized to compete in each GovCon / Aerospace and Defense Market. Utilizing ACES (ARDAK’s Contract Exploitation System) ARDAK conducted a competitive intelligence assessment to validate that the competitor acquisition targets are legitimate business units that meet ARDAK’s definition of a cost center as follows:

  • Has sufficient autonomy to warrant an independent cost structure.
  • Typically maintains a set of financial statements that are audited by the DCAA.
  • Generally, provides a unique disclosure statement to the DCAA.
  • Has a unique remittance address for receipt of payments from the federal government.
  • Maintains a separate registration through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and System for Award Management SAM.
  • Has a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) assigned by the Federal Government

The exemplar below represents a number of subservient cost centers rank ordered by awards that make up General Dynamics IT.  In some cases, contracts are still being awarded to legacy cost centers. Consequently, it is imperative that the Target Acquisition Process correctly identifies the target (cost center) or the analysis could be developed on the WRONG Target.
